With months to go before we get new Outlander on television and an as-yet-unknown amount of time before the ninth book, Go Tell the Bees that I Am Gone, we have to find solace in other mediums. I suggest turning to food. Food from Outlander Kitchen to be specific. I have gushed on several occasions about the recipes found on the site and in the cookbook, so I’ll refrain, but, seriously. If you haven’t tried any of the recipes yet, what are you waiting for? With her homemade sausage, bannocks, and scotch eggs breakfast is a done deal!
If you’re not a breakfast person, may I suggest Master Raymond’s Frogs Legs – Chicken Wings Provençal. Master Raymond is a terrific secondary character that we met in France. He is described as being frog-like in appearance, but since frog legs are not usually stocked at the local grocery, chicken wings will do just fine.
These were delicious. Crispy, buttery, and garlicky with just a hint of a kick from red pepper flakes, these wings are simple to make but will be a hit with your crowd. Whether you’re serving wings to watch the big game or to re-watch the first two seasons of Outlander, you cannot go wrong with these!
