Luck of the Irish

Ah, Thirsty Thursday is upon us once again. Is there anything more perfect than settling in with a good drink and a means to escape reality? I think not. Now the means may be different for each of us. I love books, TV, or movies. You may enjoy a graphic novel or a podcast or a video game. To each their own, I say.

Today’s drink is a simple one. Pour 2 ounces of Irish Cream and 1/2 an ounce of your raspberry cordial over ice. Give it a stir and enjoy! It’s sweet and creamy with a lovely raspberry flavor.

Now, I hear you..you’re asking, “What work of fiction is that from?” You did ask, didn’t you? Well, it’s not technically from any particular fictional world. But, I wanted to give you another drink to use your lovely raspberry cordial in. So, let’s focus on the Irish part of the Irish Cream, shall we?

Sticking with that theme, you could watch Rudy play for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. You could start reading the Irish Trilogy by Nora Roberts. You could fire up Netflix and binge watch The Fall, which takes place in Belfast and, bonus!, stars Gillian Anderson. (Those are affiliate tags. Thanks for your support!)

So, tonight, kick back and relax with a bit of Irish fiction while you enjoy your drink!
